I recently found out that Minuet 2 is possibly not by Bach. In fact most assumed it was his because they found this piece in a book of song collections he gave to his beloved. Anyway, no one really knows who wrote this piece. In any case, it’s one of my favorites to play.
The issues I found myself struggling with are mostly the same as in my past recordings. First of all, I found that I had to take multiple takes because I would get a case of “brain farts”. Meaning, my mind would drift and I would forget what to do next in the middle of the song or worse, at the very end of the song. But I got a few decent takes and overall I’m content. I have to remind myself to just have fun with it and not try to strive for perfection.
