Las Mañanitas – Violin Solo

Today, I’m officially 3 years and 1 month into my violin journey. After many months of trying to perfect my rendition of Las Mañanitas, I decided to record my progress. I put together a beginner version of this song that can be played in first position. Las Mañanitas a traditional Mexican song that is so joyful and appreciated by all of Latin America, most Latinos use this song to honor women on their birthdays and especially mothers day.

In this video, I will be providing two versions of Las Mañanitas. The first will be with back up mariachi music at full speed (Track is from Mariachi Real de San Diego).

My second version will be at a slightly slower speed and with a metronome – in case anyone wants to play along.

Overall…there are a few issues that I need to resolve: my bow distribution, my vibrato, and of course, as always, my tension. But I think I’m doing a little better. Overall, I have fun playing this song and I plan to grow and change up the rendition when I approach again it the future.

If you are interested in obtainig the sheet music for this song, you can go to my Patreon, page and get the sheet music and a few other resources for only 1 dollar.

Which brings me to one more announcement I would like to make before I get started, I have obtained my first Patron on Patreon. A very special thank you to M wk for contributing t my page. I truly appreciate it.

So without further adieu..here’s Las Mañanitas….
