Observations for Nov 2018 – Bowing

I’ve been recording my rendition of both “Lightly Row” and “Song of The Wind”. What’s really helpful about taking video of myself playing these beginner songs is realizing how much attention I need to put in my bowing. The videos reveal that my bow placement is not centered and my bow hold is a little messy. As a result, I tend to get squeakiness here and there and a lot of bow trembling.

Since I was able to identify this problem I looked up several tips on YouTube on proper bow hold. I will practice some techniques and drills and hopefully by the time I record “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, I would have improved my sound a bit more. I’m excited! Below are the drills I will put to practice.
