I like to start slow (98 bpms) and speed it up by increments of 10 bpms. I think I play it well up to 118 bpms.
After seeing myself play, I made a couple of observations that I need to improve on:
1. Improve bow hold – this will help me gain better control of the bow in order to avoid a tremble and accidental string hitting. I plan to practice a few drills for bowing and hopefully by the time I record “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, I’ll show some improvement..
2. Improve wrist movement – which is related to bowing. I noticed that my bow does not stay in the middle of the optimal playing zone. Adjusting and practicing my wrist movement should remedy this problem.
